He later appeared on television programs such as The Late Show, briefly replacing Joan Rivers as host.

Mulrooney also worked in radio, co-hosting popular morning shows and connecting with listeners through humor and insight. In 2010, he became a police officer, serving for 14 years while continuing to perform comedy, especially at fundraisers for first responders.
