Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), 81, reportedly fell on the House floor while protesting Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” but was unharmed. She then delivered a heated speech claiming Republicans were bullied into passing what she called the “Big Ugly Bill,” arguing it will gut Medicaid, defund Planned Parenthood, raise energy costs, overwhelm hospitals, cost jobs, and lead to tens of thousands of deaths each year. She warned that Americans “will not forget” and vowed to keep fighting to protect public health and dignity.
