J showed up at the wedding dressed to impress — a tuxedo, pink bow tie, white gloves, and even a flower in his hands. And somehow, no one questioned it!
J was the unexpected best man for Adam and Tara, a couple who had met 16 years earlier and wanted their wedding to include a guest nobody would ever forget.
The llama was hired through Llama Adventures as part of the Maison Albion mansion experience in New York State. He joined the couple for the ceremony, the toast, and the meal, posing for photos with the newlyweds like he had been a professional best man his entire life.
Wedding photographer Cathy Craft had photographed plenty of weddings with dogs, but this was her first time seeing a llama at a reception. At first, she thought the “llama” was actually a best man wearing a costume. Then she looked closer and realized it was the other way around!
The photos quickly went viral, receiving thousands of reactions online.
And according to Craft, once the initial surprise wore off, she could see how happy the bride was — and suddenly, the whole thing made perfect sense.
Honestly, who wouldn’t remember a wedding with a llama as the best man?
