A woman was falling unconscious through the skies above Arizona when one man’s extraordinary courage changed everything.
Debbie Williams, a teacher from Texas, collided with another skydiver during a group formation and lost consciousness midair.
When Gregory Robertson witnessed what had happened, he immediately dove after her, knowing that he risked falling too low to deploy his own parachute in time.
He managed to reach Debbie, pull her reserve parachute ripcord, and push her clear before opening his own parachute at an extremely low altitude — reportedly just 13 seconds from the ground.
Debbie was airlifted to a hospital with severe injuries, but she survived and eventually recovered.
Sometimes, courage means risking everything to save someone else. Gregory’s extraordinary actions turned a terrifying midair emergency into a story of survival, bravery, and hope.
