The tragic death of 10-year-old Sara Sharif shocked the world, revealing years of unimaginable abuse at the hands of her father, stepmother, and uncle. After her body was found in the family home in Surrey, the three fled to Pakistan but were later brought back to the UK and charged. Sara’s father, Urfan Sharif, received a life sentence with a minimum term of 40 years, while his wife and brother were also jailed. The judge described the case as a “campaign of torture.” Sara’s mother, Olga Domin, called her daughter “an angel in heaven,” reminding the world why justice matters.
