New Poll Reveals Current Public Opinion on the Presidency

A new national survey offers fresh insight into how Americans currently view former President Donald Trump and the direction of the country. While Trump has continued to speak confidently about progress and national momentum, the poll indicates mixed public sentiment as many Americans weigh their personal experiences against the administration’s goals. Rising prices, global events, and domestic debates have influenced how people feel about leadership and national priorities.

According to the latest CNN/SSRS poll, conducted among 1,245 adults, Trump’s approval rating stands at 37%, down from 47% earlier in the year. About 63% of respondents expressed disapproval, marking one of the lower points of his time in office. The poll also reflects a broader national mood, with 68% of Americans saying the country is doing “pretty” or “very badly,” while 32% believe things are going well.

Economic challenges remain at the forefront for many voters. Nearly 47% of respondents said that inflation, rising costs, and financial pressure are their main concerns. Another 26% pointed to questions around democracy and political stability. Meanwhile, 10% cited immigration as their top issue. When asked about policy impact, a majority of participants shared worries about the economy and international relations, reflecting ongoing public debate about national direction.

The survey also found that 61% of respondents feel presidential powers have been used “too far,” highlighting continued discussion about the role and limits of executive authority. As the upcoming midterm elections approach, 41% of voters say their ballot will reflect opposition to Trump’s leadership, while 21% plan to vote in support of him. Trump dismissed the poll’s findings, emphasizing that he believes his support remains strong. With elections nearing, the results suggest a nation evaluating its priorities and preparing for another significant political season.
