Emma Watters opens up on Instagram after experiencing family tragedy

September has been an emotional month for Jesse Watters and his wife Emma, but amid the sadness, the family found a reason to smile.

Recently, Emma, 32, posted to Instagram to celebrate a major milestone: their daughter Georgina’s very first day of school.

The two-year-old, affectionately called Gigi, melted hearts in a baby-pink pinafore dress with a bow, frilled-collar top, white knee-high socks, and shiny pink shoes. She carried a matching pink rucksack, with her blonde hair styled half-up and finished with a sweet white bow.

“Off she goes! Georgina’s first day of school!” Emma captioned the snap with a pink sparkling heart emoji.

Fans quickly flooded the comments with love. Jesse’s Fox News colleague Dana Perino couldn’t resist, writing simply: “Stop!” while others gushed “OMG TOO CUTE!!!” and “So pretty in pink!”

A bittersweet week
The milestone came just after Emma shared heartbreaking news: the passing of her grandmother, who had recently turned 90.

In a moving tribute, Emma called her “our beloved and beautiful Nan,” adding: “Thank you for showing us how to love and live. You may be gone, but your lessons and light will remain forever. Love you so much.”

She included a carousel of family memories: from a beautiful selfie of her grandmother to multi-generational photos with her mom, Janice, and little Georgina.

Emma’s followers quickly offered condolences in the comments, sending well wishes to the family during their time of loss.

Finding joy in family moments
For Jesse, 46, host of Fox News Primetime and co-host of The Five, family has always been his anchor. The Watters household, which also includes their son Jesse Jr. and Jesse’s older daughters Sophie and Ellie from his first marriage, often shares glimpses of their private life through Emma’s Instagram.

This week’s updates struck a poignant balance: one chapter closing with the loss of Emma’s grandmother, and another opening with Gigi stepping into her very first classroom.

Through it all, one thing is clear: family remains at the heart of Jesse and Emma Watters’ story.
