Lou Christie, best known for his hit “Lightning Strikes,” passed away at home in Pittsburgh after a brief illness, his wife Francesca told The Hollywood Reporter. Born Lugee Alfredo Giovanni Sacco in Glenwillard, Pennsylvania, Christie showed an early passion for music and began performing in his teens. He formed a longtime songwriting partnership with Twyla Herbert, creating hundreds of songs together. His family remembered him as a kind, talented, and beloved figure who will be deeply missed.
