Missing Alabama boy, 4, found dead 2 miles from home: Police

Alabama police on Friday announced the death of a 4-year-old boy who had been missing since Wednesday.

Johnathan Everett Boley was found about two miles away from his father’s home in Walker County with his dog Buck, who is alive, according to police.

Boley was first reported missing Wednesday and was described as having blond hair, being 4 feet tall, weighing 50 pounds and “believed to be in danger,”

He was last seen around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the 7000 block of Highway 195 in Jasper wearing a yellow Mickey Mouse shirt, black pants and Paw Patrol shoes, the alert noted.

Smith noted that the search for Boley covered more than 500 acres using a helicopter, drones, 161 volunteers, 126 first responders and multiple police dogs.

Boley’s parents are separated, and he disappeared while visiting his father in Alabama, who used to be in the military and has five visitation days per year, Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith said at a press conference.

Boley’s mother arrived in Alabama from Florida on Wednesday to get him on Thursday,She is cooperating fully with authorities, Smith noted at the press conference.
