President Trump Slams TIME Cover, Calling It the ‘Worst in History’

Despite a positive feature praising President Donald Trump’s role in securing a ceasefire in Gaza, he harshly criticized the November cover photo of TIME Magazine, calling it the “worst of all time.” On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump expressed displeasure, saying the photo made his hair “disappear” and showed a strange small floating crown above his head. He also disliked the low-angle perspective of the picture, calling it a “super bad picture” and questioning the magazine’s decision to use it.

Trump’s comments came just weeks after he returned to public view following an unusual absence that led to widespread speculation and rumors about his health, including false reports of his death. On August 30, 2025, the 79-year-old president was seen wearing his trademark red “Make America Great Again” hat and was accompanied by his teenage granddaughter and grandson as he headed to his golf club in Sterling, Virginia.

Vice President J.D. Vance publicly defended Trump’s health, stating that the president has “incredible energy” and is fully capable of serving his term. Vance acknowledged the realities of aging but expressed confidence that Trump will continue to lead effectively. He also spoke about his own readiness to take over leadership if necessary, describing his experience in office as valuable preparation.

Concerns about Trump’s health were further fueled after photos from a recent press conference showed what appeared to be makeup on his right hand, which some speculated was used to cover bruising. Observers noted swelling and discoloration on his hands and legs, prompting questions about his physical condition and well-being.

In response, the White House confirmed that Trump underwent a comprehensive medical evaluation, including diagnostic vascular studies and an echocardiogram. The results revealed that he has chronic venous insufficiency, a common and benign condition especially among older adults. There was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis, arterial disease, heart failure, or any systemic illness. Lab results were within normal limits, indicating that Trump remains in stable health despite the visible signs of swelling.
