Man Gets The Perfect Revenge When The City Forces Him To Put His Boat Behind A Fence

Man Outsmarts HOA With Boat Mural

When Etienne Constable was told by his homeowners association to hide his boat from view—or face a $100 fine—he complied, but with a twist. The HOA rule required large vehicles like boats to be hidden behind a six-foot fence. Constable built the fence, then had a local artist paint a mural of the boat on it, perfectly visible from the street.

The boat had been parked in his driveway for four years before complaints began.

Rather than lash out, he used humor and creativity to make a statement, which quickly went viral.

Now, other neighbors are asking for murals of their own. So far, the city hasn’t responded to the cheeky display.
