A Montana man known for multiple high-speed chases, courtroom outbursts, and repeated escapes has been sentenced to 50 years in Montana State Prison. The tense sentencing hearing ended with chaos when the defendant attempted to walk out of the courtroom after hearing the lengthy punishment. Deputies quickly stopped him and returned him to his seat.

The man’s record included numerous dangerous pursuits that endangered both officers and civilians, as well as prior escapes from custody. Prosecutors described him as having “no respect for the law or authority.”

The 50-year sentence stemmed from two separate cases—DC 17267 and DC 2777. In the first, he received consecutive 10-year sentences with portions suspended, totaling 50 years with 18 suspended. In the second, the judge imposed three consecutive 10-year terms with no suspension, citing the need to protect the public.

Courtroom witnesses described the defendant as visibly stunned before trying to leave. “When he heard ‘50 years,’ he just froze, then started walking toward the doors,” one attendee said.
