Servings: 6–8
Looking for a comforting, hearty meal that practically cooks itself? This slow cooker pot roast is a crowd-pleasing favorite that pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or your favorite vegetables. It’s flavorful, fork-tender, and made with just a few pantry staples—making it perfect for busy weeknights or cozy weekends at home.
Ingredients:
3 to 4-pound chuck roast
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 packet Italian dressing mix
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 cup water
Optional: chopped vegetables like carrots, potatoes, or onions
Instructions:
Place the chuck roast in your slow cooker.
Sprinkle the ranch, Italian, and brown gravy seasoning packets directly over the top of the meat.
Pour the water into the slow cooker, around the edges of the roast (to help keep the seasoning in place).
If using vegetables, arrange them around the roast at this point.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4–5 hours, until the meat is tender and easy to shred.
Once cooked, shred the roast using two forks and stir it into the juices before serving.
Serving Tip:
Spoon the rich, flavorful juices over mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, or roasted vegetables for a comforting, complete meal.
